Joel has been the Senior Pastor at Valley Church in Hemet, California for five years. He holds a master's degree in Pastoral Studies from Azusa Pacific University and a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from California State University.

He has been married to Ketty Pineres-Orozco for thirteen years and a father to Johan (12 years old) and Thiago (10 years old).
