Pastor José Luis was born in San Luis, Sonora, Mexico, and began attending a Baptist church at the age of seven. He came to faith in Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at twelve and was soon actively serving in his local church. At fifteen, he sensed God’s call to pastoral ministry and pursued formal pastoral training from 1982 to 1987.

Over the course of more than forty years in ministry, Pastor José Luis has helped plant Bible schools and churches in both Mexico and the United States and has served in a wide range of ministries. He currently serves as the pastor of Pan de Vida Church in Chandler, Arizona, an EFCA congregation, where he has faithfully led for the past ten years.

He is married to Ruth Córdoba, and together they have four children who serve the Lord, as well as three cherished grandchildren.
